During the training courses I arrive super charged and convinced that as always it will be a regenerating and educational experience (especially for me). Non-violent communication is one of the elements dearest to me. I discovered it late in life and having always had problems dealing with conflicts, I felt reassured by the fact that sharing one's emotions and needs was absolutely right and possible. The goal of expressing myself without risking damaging private or working relationships was entirely achievable. When I enter the classroom, however, there is always a shiver of fear... 'how will I make the WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO formula acceptable and truly and effectively applicable?'

Having often dealt with people who speak languages other than English, what I imagine to be an expression in everyday use appears rather formal and elaborate to a foreigner. If until then we talk about empathy and connection between individuals, the language barrier risks creating a wall and losing the enthusiasm and sometimes the credibility of the method. Although my experience is limited, in each session I try with the participants to break down the formality without losing sight of the communicative objective but more and more often I encounter difficulties. In short 'I'm willing to follow the method but sometimes I need help'
